Well lets get started.

1) Get The GIMP at www.gimp.org Wink
2) Get used to the controls and stuff (If you simply want to re-color your skin, skip this step!)
3) Download this plug-in here.
4) Follow the Readme in the download. When done, restart the GIMP.
5) Open up your DDS file. If you dont have one, get XCC Mixer and extract them from your Renegade's Always.dat.
6) Edit it to what you like.
7) Click File -> Save As...
8] Then click Save.
9) If a infomation box pops up, just ignore it.
10) When the "Save as dds" screen comes up, use these settings that are here.
11) Click ok.
12) Shove that file into your renegade/data folder
13) Youre done!

------------------------------------RECOLORING A SKIN----------------------------------------------
How to re-color a skin in The GIMP.
Click Tools -> Colour Tools -> Colour Balance
Then just slide the sliders to youre liking, press ok, and you're done!
don't forget to save it the same way!
