Dropmods Tutorials - 1

After this tutorial, you will learn the basic of dropmodding. Smile Very Happy

1)Beginning
Ok, to begin with, lets start examaning one of mine (The flyable can!):

2)Examining I
The start bit (

) Needs to be there, otherwise the player wont get their vehicle!! (Unless you don't want them to for some wierd reason)

3)Examining II
Now lets examane it in closer detail:

-400 Create_Real_Object, 4, "CnC_Nod_Apache" - The unit that will be created
-400 Create_Real_Object, 5, "Simple_MetalDrum_05" - The unit that will be attached to it.
-400 attach_to_bone, 5, 4, "wheelp01" - Just saying that them two need to be stuck together
-400 Attach_Script, 4, "M00_Disable_Physical_Collision_JDG" - This is optional, it disables "physical collision" (go through walls! WARNING: If you put this on, and get out of the vec you are in, it WILL fall through the floor!
-400 Attach_Script, 4, "[b]Mx0_Obelisk_Weapon_DLS
" - Another optional script, this one makes whatever number "4" is truly invisible!
-400 Attach_Script, 5, "M00_Damage_Modifier_DME", "0,1,1,0,0" - Another optional script, this one makes whatever number "5" is invincible!

4) Making your own
You arnt really making it from nothing, just basically modding mine to your liking!

-900 Attach_Script, 3, "M02_PLAYER_VEHICLE", ""

-400 Create_Real_Object, 4, "CnC_Nod_Apache"
-400 Create_Real_Object, 5, "Simple_MetalDrum_05"
-400 attach_to_bone, 5, 4, "wheelp01"
-400 Attach_Script, 4, "M00_Disable_Physical_Collision_JDG"
-400 Attach_Script, 4, "Mx0_Obelisk_Weapon_DLS"
-400 Attach_Script, 5, "M00_Damage_Modifier_DME", "0,1,1,0,0"


Change the bits in blue to ANY unit, i will list some:
CnC_Nod_Stealth_Tank - Stealth Tank
CnC_Nod_Mobile_Artillery - Mobile Artillery
CnC_Nod_Apc - Nod Apc
CnC_Nod_Buggy - Nod Buggy

Change the bits in red to ANY unit/thing in "Objects" of lvledit.

WARNING!! If you choose a ground unit for the first one, DONT use "M00_Disable_Physical_Collision_JDG" for number 4!!! You WILL fall through the ground!!!

Keep/Delete the scripts (things in orange) you want/don't want to apply to them. You can change the number before them:
4, "M00_Disable_Physical_Collision_JDG" - Applys to number 4 (Apache)
4, "Mx0_Obelisk_Weapon_DLS" - Applys to number 4 (Apache)
5, "M00_Damage_Modifier_DME", "0,1,1,0,0" - Applys to number 5 (Can)

Well thats it.. If you want to make flyable buildings, wait untill i relese my other tutorial
